Curriculum

  1. Month 1, Weeks 1-2: Video Editing Foundations: Editing software setup, timelines, cuts and transitions, storytelling through editing, pacing and rhythm. Project: edit a short story video
  2. Month 1, Weeks 3-4: Professional Editing Workflow: Organising footage, proxies, rough cut to fine cut, versioning, handling client feedback and revisions, export settings for every platform. Project: edit a brand promo to a client brief
  3. Month 2, Weeks 5-6: Animation Fundamentals: Principles of animation, keyframes, easing, character and object animation, 2D animation techniques. Project: a short animated sequence
  4. Month 2, Weeks 7-8: Motion Graphics: Kinetic typography, animated titles and lower thirds, logo animation, shape layers, compositing basics. Project: an animated explainer or logo reveal
  5. Month 3, Weeks 9-10: Video Production: Scripting, storyboarding, shot planning, camera and lighting basics, recording clean audio, colour grading and sound design. Project: plan, shoot, and edit a short film or ad
  6. Month 3, Weeks 11-12: Capstone and Showreel: End-to-end capstone project, portfolio review, building your showreel, freelancing and job readiness, pricing your work
